Cosmos transaction out of gas: what it means and how to retry
The transaction needed more execution gas than its gas limit allowed. Gas limit and gas price are different settings.
The interactive tool loads with JavaScript. Network-dependent values are retrieved when the tool opens; no live rate or account balance is assumed here.
Step 1
Check the transaction result on the correct chain before submitting another transfer.
Step 2
If execution failed with out of gas, ask your wallet to simulate the transaction again. If supported, review an increased gas limit rather than only increasing the gas price.
Step 3
Keep enough spendable fee tokens to cover the new transaction. More messages or complex contract actions can need more gas.
Understanding the result
A transaction included in a block can still fail and consume fees. Increasing gas does not fix a contract error, insufficient balance or an invalid message.
